Teach me Sewing Classes:
These sewing classes are suitable for kids and anyone who have never sewn before.
How does it work?
We start by getting to know your sewing machine & teaching you how to use it properly. We work on different projects learning new skills with each one and building on previously learnt skills. Some items you will make include pillow covers, basic clothing, bags etc. Each learner works at his or her own pace with our assistance.
What is required?
If you don’t have your own sewing machine/overlocker, you are welcome to use ours in class. We will be more than happy to advise you on what to look for if you subsequently decide you want to buy your own machine/s.
The 1st class is usually a theoretical lesson about the sewing machine and general tools used in sewing. All subsequent classes are mostly practical work.
At your 1st lesson we will also discuss what you will be making and which items you will need to purchase to bring along to your second lesson. All other classes will be practical work in class, with a helping hand if needed.
How much does it cost?
R250 per 2hour class & we recommend 2 classes per month
Help me Sewing Classes:
If you can already use your sewing machine and just need some practical help with a technique or project then this is for you.
How does it work?
For these sewing classes what you’d like to make is completely up to you. We will be right next to you to help whenever you need. You will need to bring along the pattern and all fabric & notions needed to complete your project. You are also welcome to bring your own machine or use ours in class.
What does it cost?
R140 per hour. The length of classes depend on how much help you need and how much work you do at home in between classes.
